FURNACE & BOILER
HEATING

Repair, replacement, and everything in between — around the clock, all winter.

When the heat quits in January you don't need a sales pitch, you need someone who answers the phone and shows up. We service furnaces, boilers, and heat pumps across Staten Island, Brooklyn, and New Jersey — nights, weekends, and holidays included.

Twenty years in, most of what we see falls into a handful of familiar categories. That doesn't mean we guess; it means we usually know where to look first. A diagnosis takes minutes rather than an afternoon of billable poking around.

WHAT WE HANDLE

Furnaces are the bulk of it — no heat at all, short cycling, a blower that runs without ever warming the house, a unit that lights and drops out a minute later. Most of those trace back to an ignitor, a flame sensor, a pressure switch, or a blower motor on its way out. Those are repairs, not replacements, and we'll tell you so before you start bracing for a new system.

We also service and install boilers, including the older cast-iron systems still heating a lot of houses around here, and heat pumps for anyone running one year-round. Thermostats too — one that was never wired correctly causes more comfort complaints than most people would guess, and it's the cheapest thing on this page to put right.

Every heating call includes a safety check. We look at the flue, the venting, and the combustion, and we carry a carbon monoxide meter. If something is unsafe you'll hear it plainly, and we won't leave it running.

HOW WE WORK

We diagnose before we quote, every time. You get told what's actually wrong in plain language, what it costs to fix, and — when the system is old enough for it to be a genuine question — whether repairing or replacing makes more financial sense. The price goes in writing before anyone picks up a wrench, and it doesn't move afterwards.

When the repair is the smarter call we say so, even though the replacement is the bigger invoice. A twelve-year-old furnace with a failed ignitor is a small problem, not a reason to sell you a new system. Every technician who comes to your door is licensed and insured, and the crew that installs a system is the crew that comes back to service it.

WHEN TO CALL

If you have no heat and it's cold, call — don't wait on an email. A real person answers and a real technician gets dispatched, including at two in the morning in January. For anything that isn't urgent, the quote form gets you an answer the same day.

SIGNS IT NEEDS LOOKING AT

Some of these are urgent and some just mean book a visit. Urgent: any smell of gas, a carbon monoxide alarm going off, soot around the unit, or a burner flame that's yellow and lazy instead of crisp and blue. Shut it down and call.

Less urgent, but worth catching before it becomes urgent — heat that comes on and cuts out again within a couple of minutes, rooms that never reach temperature while others cook, a system noticeably louder than it was last winter, a burning smell that doesn't clear after the first run of the season, or a bill that jumped without the weather explaining it.

Rattles and bangs on startup are usually a mounting or ductwork issue rather than anything dangerous. A distinct boom on ignition is different: that's delayed ignition, and it does need attention.
